Estonia has a population of 1.3 million people. Estonia’s capital is Tallinn, and the largest cities include Tartu, Pärnu and Narva – all within a radius of a few hundred kilometres.
There are four seasons in Estonia: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spring and autumn are typically rainy, summers are sunny, and winters are snowy and cold.
In 2011, Estonia switched to the euro. In the years following the financial crisis, Estonia has had one of the fastest growing economies in the European Union. In 2011, Estonia’s GDP growth per resident was 8.3%.
